(Finally) starting a blog?

So I'm thinking of starting an environmental/climate change blog that allows me to express and expand my interests into the wider environmental scene. I'm going to hone my interest not only in waste management and Orang Asli issues, but also into biodiversity and to an extent, public health. The fact of the matter is there are important climate change linkages that have yet to be discussed here in Malaysia, so I figured it would be good to begin discussions on them. It would be important for me to disclaim from being an expert, but one doesn't have to be an expert to initiate discussions on important worldly topics.

At the same time, I'm thinking of compiling my experience from being an undergraduate to a UK PACT officer, and the thinking involved that has gotten me to where I am, which is where I had hoped to be. I'm hoping to do my masters soon, if not actually this month, perhaps sometime next March.

Story, the First

I was formally introduced to the Malaysian Youth Delegation by a senior from university who had the opportunity to fly to Paris as part of a voluntary youth delegation to shadow our national negotiators. To be honest, I was very lukewarm about the idea as I was in China for an exchange program. Having said that, I was reminded feeling a bit jealous when I learned at a Powershift camp that a group of Malaysian youth were going to represent Malaysia at the UN Climate Change Summit - COP21. I wanted to be a part of that.

At the same time, I knew it would've been difficult to commit considering all their meets were physical and I would've only been able to participate virtually, which is less than ideal when it was important to build synergy amongst peers. Not to mention the fact that I had to be away in Sabah after the semester in China. Regardless, I applied to be a part of the Malaysian Youth Delegation after some nudging by the senior who reached out to me in the first place, with the caveat that I won't be able to commit for the following 2-3 months, and I got accepted.
